Short and Sweet

Today’s Scripture is short and sweet! I have something on my heart, but it’s going to take a lot more studying and prayer, so I’ll save it for another day.

Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

People may think you are great and you may be a GOB (Good ‘ol Boy) You may have the perfect oval face, straight white teeth, clear skin and be beautiful to look upon. None of that really matters unless you fear the Lord. It says you shall be praised for that. And I don’t mean that you just SHOW that you fear the Lord, you must also live it. There are many who “play church” and people think they are the perfect Christian. God knows your heart and the intents of it.

Read your Bible, find out what God wants you to do, and go do it! James 1:22-26 says “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.  If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.” Don’t seem to be religous, be a doer of the work! Make a point to go out and “DO” something today!
